Train the motion behind the throw.
The Grip Ripper™ uses spring-powered dynamic tension to support intentional wrist, forearm, and shoulder movement for warmups and arm conditioning.
Resistance built around the throwing motion.
Grip Ripper is a versatile, portable device designed for controlled exercises involving muscles from the wrist through the forearm and shoulder. Its spring system creates dynamic tension as you move, making it useful for deliberate warmups and overall arm conditioning.
The speed of each movement changes how demanding the exercise feels. Begin with controlled motion, experiment gradually with movement velocity, and choose a level appropriate for your current strength and training plan.
For throwing programs, the original Grip Ripper protocol recommends using the device three times per week near the beginning of the training session. Any activation or rehabilitation routine should be performed with guidance from a qualified medical or training professional.

What people are saying.
We’ve had a Grip Ripper in our bullpens since 2016. Our pitchers have benefitted from them for prehab, rehab, & strengthening. We have also seen over 30 pitchers in that timeframe have their contracts purchased by MLB clubs. Of those 30, 8 have made it from independent professional baseball all the way to the MLB !! Grip Ripper has had a part in that - that’s for sure.
The Grip Ripper is a gamechanger with arm care, as it works the forearm and muscles surrounding the elbow. Most other arm care programs focus on the shoulder region with little to no emphasis on the elbow. The Grip Ripper has shown to work the shoulder and elbow regions better than any device I have used. In addition, the hidden secret with the Grip Ripper is its ability to train a tighter spin on the breaking ball. I have had great results improving RPM's and the late break effect with my students using the Grip Ripper. By holding a curveball/slider grip with the bottom ball, it forces the hand/wrist/forearm connection to firm up properly at internal rotation of the shoulder joint, producing instant improvement on breaking balls. Give it a try!
To best protect the throwing elbow, the arm must be thought of as a kinetic chain and not an isolated segment. The grip ripper provides impulse-reactive co contractions to the fingers, forearm, and shoulder simultaneously. When performed in throwing positions, I believe the nervous system and entire kinetic chain can be stimulated by integrating the hip, core, and throwing arm for dynamic stability. We use the grip ripper as part of our overall arm-care program for both prevention and rehabilitation of our athletes.
